Artemis III Crew & Mission

Artemis III is the next step in the Artemis program, which will carry out a series of objectives in LEO (Low Earth Orbit), which is intended to test critical systems needed for future landings, which will begin with the following SLS launch, Artemis IV. There will be 4 crew members aboard the Orion spacecraft, which will be launching on-top of the SLS (Space Launch System) Rocket, in Late 2027.

Recently, there has been two major announcements.

The first is the crew, 4 astronauts have been picked, 3 from NASA and 1 from the European space agency.

The second, is that both Blue Origin & SpaceX will both be exhibiting their landers for testing. SpaceX will be using the Starship Lander, and Blue Origin will be using their Blue Moon lander.
